Weigh-in: October 17, 2020: Two Non-scale Victories

Sunday, October 18, 2020

Well 1 1/2 anyway.

Diet was more of the same.

Did a little more exercise than usual but overdid it earlier in the week which made it a lot harder later in the week. As such I walked more. I forgot one oddity about walking a lot on the weight loss journey when one is sedentary....

--Last Week: 198.0--21%
--This Week: 198.2--20% (down 1% Body Fat)

For those of you following at home, the couple months have involved a the tail end of a good weight-loss run with on average practically no change in Body Fat. It's basically vacillated between 21 and 22% (occasional midweeks having it as high as 23%).

With both walking and spinning, when I start doing them regularly, the legs muscle up. I've assumed this to be because the scale takes the measurements at the feet, but the BF% reading seems to react more to the legs muscling up than it does the upper body.

It occurred to me that given my scale doesn't take the body fat at the decimal level (It's 21 or 22.
not 21.x), that it does take longer for the numbers to show.

Technically it isn't a non-scale victory, but still. 20% Body fat has been a measurement a long time in the making.

****ACTUAL NSV****
Back in January/February, when my weight was up at around 209-212, I bought 3 pairs of jeans that were a bit snug but comfortable after 10-20 minutes of wearing. I reasoned that as I hit goal weight they would fit perfectly.

These were more cooler weather colored (Black/Navy). So I put them away Mid-May. They were less snug, so yay.

A couple of weeks ago, I took them out as the temperature was starting to go down a bit and yeah. At now 198/199, they weren't even stretching when I put them on. Seriously, I was able to take the loosest of the three and put them on without unbuttoning, unzipping or shimmying. This straight out of the dryer.

Despite the good news on the BF%, I remain in early 1(9)98. I take my weight and insert a century to celebrate weigh-ins. I know, "nod and smile"

In retrospect, given how much this song got played (read: a-LOT), I'm kinda surprised they never released another song of hers. She wasn't my favorite artist on the whole of the Lilith Fair, but this was by far my favorite song from it.

Going to keep walking and see if we can keep going on the BF%

Great NSV with the jeans! Yo are doing great. Your focus has changed and the payoff is things like this.

I agree about Shawn. It is my fave of hers as well.
