Day 2 on intermittent fasting

So I lost another pound today...

I am not doing keto at all. I just have to eat bread, but I will limit it considerably. I watch Dr. Bergs videos and others and they don't think bread or sugar is good for you. sugar I knew.. of course, but BREAD? Ouch....

Yesterday, I ate one piece of bread with 1 egg and cheese and strawberries in the morning. It kept me full. Then I went out to lunch (didn't score any points for my Clover team) as I attended a funeral and some of us left for lunch for a special gathering.

I ate a monstrous sandwich: sourdough bread, turkey, cranberry, cream cheese sandwich with a little lettuce and 2 huge cookies, one a raspberry shortbread , the other a peanut butter one. They were at least 200 calories a piece. They were good.
that was at 1-2:30 pm. I didn't eat after that. I wasn't hungry. I got hungry at 9 pm, but ignored it.
This morning I lost weight???? wow.

I watch more videos with Dr. Berg on how a fatty liver is caused but X (mainly sugar and processed food) and I had to rethink of what I ate yesterday. How much more I might have lost and it would have been better for me to have not had the cookies.... I didn't need them nor was I really hungry for them. The sandwich filling was pretty healthy I think. There was not a lot of turkey on it. The bread was about 3/4 of a inch thick. It was good, really good. I am a bread lover. I should have had only half of it..... should've, could've, would've...
The video did scare me a little into being more aware of my liver health. It is COMPLETELY 100% recoverable without meds, just DIET. I am nearly in tears in knowing this. It is mainly on a Keto diet that will bring me back to good liver health. I don't like KETO. I have tried it and it is hard. I promise to make better fresher choices with a limited amount of whole grain bread.

Today I will make healthier choices.

    It is good news that we can reverse this with diet. I can hear your heart in this. I got a similar scare last year and went on IF and OMAD. That is not for everyone. It works for me. I aim for lower carb when making choices unless there is something I really want. Then it's portion -controled.
    When I want to eat after my eating window is closed, I get busy with something that will distract me. I know I'll be glad I stayed strong later. I tell myself I can eat it tomorrow during my eating window. By then, I usually want something else!
    Remember it's your journey. If you need a little bread, fit it in. Trying to follow someone else's rules 100% of the time can make us feel like giving up on it.

    For me, there is no guilt in what you eat. Did you enjoy the lunch out yesterday? That is all that matters. It kept you full and you resisted eating later, so I would call that a success.

    Knowledge is liberating. I did no carbs once but couldnt stick long term, now into small changes that can be maintained life long. Go us!!
