Good morning friends.
Yesterday was wonderful. Got a really good night's sleep Saturday night, woke up, started getting ready for our little gathering. Didn't workout or zoom, so I'll catch a zoom later this week. Ate a late breakfast one egg and a slice of toast.. I knew boundaries would be crossed later in the day.
It was a little chilly outside, but we bundled up and we lit the chimenea. It was so good to see everyone again. It's been way too long.. Ryder got to meet his first cousins once removed and his second cousins on his grandpa's side of the family. My son knows how to figure out all about that stuff. We vowed not to let others get in the way of our being together any longer..
Ryder is pretty good with strangers.. although he did cry when he first arrived, he had just woken up from a short nap in the car and was disoriented when pop ran over and said hi Ryder and startled him into a little howl..
I made penne a la vodka, a turkey breast, roasted potatoes and butter nut squash and chicken nuggets and fries and my niece brought a salad. Had a little pasta, some turkey breast and the butternut squash. My other niece made the cake, that is her profession.. and I had a slice of that peanut butter chocolate ganash I believe was the "title"..
Today, I joined a 30 day plateau buster challenge.. I am committing to really paying attention and "tracking" (I know can you believe it) everything..
Today is hubby's actual birthday.. I have a #cko workout this morning, then he and I are meeting a friend for a socially distant lunch.. dinner is his choice.. depending on what he chooses I may or may not eat the same thing.
