Times are a changing and so is my body.

It's been a very long time since I blogged. Life is busy; full of ups and downs. I find that age and my health make maintenance more of a challenge.
I work out 6 days a week. I'm doing weight training, yoga, and run. I also cycle and I walk almost everyday. Yet, the scale isn't my friend and continues to mess with my mind. My daughter says, "I look good" and overall I agree. I have a waist, I look strong and have muscle, and I have a butt. Which I guess is important according to 26 year olds.
I feel better in clothes than not. I think that comes with age, as well. Gravity and the years make skin looser and even when you feel the muscle, it isn't as clearly seen. (I had a colleague give my arm a squeeze and he seemed surprised. He commented that I work out.)
I still have my hypothyroidism and my heart murmur, but I've added osteopenia to my list. The last one is genetics at play. I can't do much about any of the diagnosis, but I'll keep fighting becoming a bent over old lady as long as I can. I want to be able to carry in my own groceries, no matter how heavy I pack them.
So I'm trying tracking my food for a while. I'll see if I can tweak the diet and loose some pounds or if it truly is "life." Either way I'm good. My husband loves me as I am. I look good in my jeans and I can bring in my 40-50 lbs bags of dog food, and I have muscles.
I'm counting my blessings and now off for a run with my dog. Happy moving Spark friends.
