Canal walk

We took our holiday walk yesterday at the canal. I haven't been there in a long time as I've been more in tune to walking around my development. We managed 2.6 miles in 51 minutes including a hike down the steep 10 ft embankment to the water to explore.

See, I do go outside!



There aren't many leaves left.



Here's where we descended to water level to investigate a few things. Directly behind the kids was a huge heron, I'm thinking a Great Blue. He didn't show well in the photos.

We got a bit muddy and I impressed my children by going down, then up, without assistance!
