Too Many Irons in the Fire

Have you ever started a project, only to go to another room, begin something else, and promptly forget the first thing you started? That's pretty much the life of someone with ADD (aka myself).
The Christmas decorations at church will come down next Monday. The six banners I sewed will go back up. I needed to do some altering on three of them. DIL texted me that she needed them, so that went on my To-Do List.
Doctor's visit had to be pushed up into this week for insurance reasons. DH retired and the company will only pay his insurance, so I had to hustle and get Medicare Part B established.
Haircut appointment landed exactly when I needed it, so that's on the list today.
A friend from Canada cannot get across the border to retrieve things in her US apt. freezer, so I went after those, giving away some and storing the rest in my own freezer. I had no room for the potatoes upstairs, so I shoved (and it took some effort) it in the ice-laden mini freezer downstairs. Knowing I wouldn't use them before year's end, I gave the bag to a widower, along with quite a few breaded veal patties.
Now it was time to defrost that little freezer. I had moved the walnuts I was storing there into the fridge below and turned off the unit so the ice would melt. AND I PROMPTLY FORGOT ABOUT IT! Horrors! I grabbed two old bath towels, expecting a major puddle on the floor. The ice hadn't all melted, but the rest had landed on the tops of the plastic containers and caused little other harm. A tube of croissants had burst. Guess we'll have those for dinner. Everything cleaned up nicely and I'm off to a blood test.
Cheerio!
