Family Fit Fun

To help get myself back into shape, I downloaded the Peloton app. My friends have been doing some workouts with it every Saturday on Zoom so I thought I'd like to get it myself so I could work out every day. I miss going to the Y for classes, so I figured this would be a good substitute.
What I didn't anticipate is that my whole family would want to get into it! I have two boys, 7 and 10, and they are loving the "Fit Family" and HIIT workouts. I have not seen my 10 year old this excited about exercise ever. I think doing these "grown up" workouts feels really good to him. It's so great because they are both in online school so it's the main movement they get each day. Every evening at 5 we join in the living room for "Family Fit Time" and all 4 of us get our sweat on.
Since I have the most experience with these kinds of workouts (my husband had never done a HIIT workout until this week -- he usually just runs or swims for cardio, but had been off the wagon with that too) I feel like a coach, which is honestly pretty awesome. I have been really working with my 10 year old on form with things like squats and lunges -- and it makes me feel really awesome that I know enough about them to do that. He was so stoked when he finally did a perfect broad jump the other day!
So now I have so much more motivation because we are all going to keep each other going, especially my 7 year old, who already has a favorite workout. :)
