Remembering and Understanding

I was remembering when my son was in grade school. He came home and told me his teacher had taught him and his class how to cuss. I tried hard not to look shocked, but I am sure I had a shocked look on my face.
I asked him if he was sure and he said yes, she taught us how to cuss. He said it was so much fun and she had taught them a lot of cuss words. I calmly asked him a lot of questions and had to hold on to my feelings of wanting to get on the phone and call the teacher and tell her off.
I said to myself, 'wait a minute, there has to be a reasonable explanation.' I said to my son, did your teacher, teach you cursive? Yes, that's right, she taught us how to cuss.
I calmly made sure my son knew the correct word and how to pronounce it properly.
I never did call his teacher, nor did I ask other parents if they ran into the same thing I did with the proper wording.
My Mother used to say: 'You should only believe part of what you hear and half of what you see."
