Meet some of the people who inspired me

I have been so very blessed in my life with people who have influenced me in a variety of ways. Many of them have inspired me to be a better person and to grow as a person. I wanted to share them, some of them have passed on but I think they deserve tribute.
First there was Jim and Alice, they were my elderly neighbors in MO. I don't think I have ever met kinder, more generous people. I never heard them say a bad word about anyone and they were always ready with a helping hand. They never failed to notice my children's achievements, they commented each time they saw that they had made honor roll (it was always in the local paper). They had special treats for them on Halloween and Christmas and they made them feel valued. I do believe it takes a village to raise children and Jim and Alice were part of my village. I always keep them in mind when I am gossiping or thinking badly of someone. so that I change that behavior. They inspired me so much.
Next is Grace. Grace was another elderly neighbor, she lived on her own and did really well. One day when I was at Grace's helping her with some spring cleaning she commented that when she looked in the mirror she saw this old lady looking back at her, but there was an 18 year old living in her brain. She was the youngest elderly person I have ever met. I loved Grace! I try to stay as young as she was and keep that 18 year old in my brain.
Then there was Florence, yes another elderly person I knew. Florence was so upbeat and positive. Being with her was so refreshing. I want to be that elderly person and make the people around me feel that way too.
There were others too numerous to mention. I truly feel blessed knowing these people and growing because I knew them.
