2/26/21 - Bedtime

Friday, February 26, 2021

Well I got the first COVID vaccination today, and I did not experience any side effects.

I got my vaccination at a hospital about 10 minutes from my home. There were six people giving the vaccinations, so there were a fair number of people lined up for their shots. Since they were well organized, the line moved at a steady pace, and that's a good thing. Although there were younger people, most were older adults, and the staff was very accommodating to everyone's needs.

When I return in three weeks, I'll know what to expect, so I'll be prepared for the wait.

Sweet dreams everyone!!!

Leslie

Good for you. I'm scheduled to get the first one Monday afternoon. DH is scheduled for Tuesday. It's so refreshing to have our leader make a positive promise to the country and then follow through with it. Glad you didn't have any side effects. That's my hope for us, too.

    Stay safe. Be well. emoticon

Glad so many of my friends here have gotten at least one shot. Larry got his shot yesterday also His second is in 3 weeks, while mine is a 4 week wait. Depends on what shot you got.

I got mine a couple of weeks ago. Line moved pretty well. I had fatigue on the second day after the vaccine. Just rested all day. emoticon

SO glad you were able to get that first shot! Locally I know they're still trying to catch the 65+ population, but have also started vaccinating teachers, so there is a mix of ages. My DD down in Denver got her first shot this week. She works with preschoolers and throughout the pandemic has been sent home several times to quarantine after exposure, even though she's never tested positive. Glad she'll have some protection finally, too!

How long did it take you to get an appointment? I think I'm gonna hold off until things stabilize as I will NOT travel long distances for this - I know someone who took *1.5 HOURS ONE WAY* to get theirs - no, thank you (I'm not afraid of the shot or needles - just horrific drives)!
