February 28, 2021 BEAUTIFUL PLAN
We all make plans about something we want to do in life. We make plans on what to cook for dinner, where to go on vacation and what we will do in our careers as well as into retirement. Some of our plans never come to full fruition. Other plans don’t even get off the paper and put into action. There are a few, however, who write out their plans and follow through to the end. Some people use others to help them while others go it alone. Some plans fail while others bloom into something wonderful.
The beauty of God’s plan is all around us. It began before the world was created. We are part of it. We live in the midst of it. We should embrace it. God’s plan was created for us. The beauty of God’s plan was to send a wonderful Savior to our world as a sacrifice for our sin. There is nothing more beautiful than salvation. When we believe Jesus died for our sins and accept Him as our Lord and Savior, we will know the beauty of God’s plan and will want to share it with the world.
Ephesians 3:6 “And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.” (NLT)
1. Write what you know about God’s beautiful plan.
2. List ways you can learn more about His plans for your life.
3. Know God wants you to trust in His plans.
4. Pray asking God to put His plans into your heart.
Dear Lord, we thank You for Your perfect and beautiful plan for this world, for all of creation and for us. We know that without You, we are nothing. Help us to remember You and Your plans in all we do. We know the plans You have for us are far greater than what we could ever imagine. Give us the desire and motivation to live out Your plans for our lives today and every day. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.’” (NLT)
Micah 7:7 “As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.” (NLT)
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” (NLT)
Colossians 2:2b “I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself.” (NLT)
1 Corinthians 1:25 “This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.” (NLT)
Revelation 10:7 “When the seventh angel blows his trumpet, God’s mysterious plan will be fulfilled. It will happen just as he announced it to his servants the prophets.” (NLT)
