It's a date

Well, that changes everything. Just found out today that I will be going on a Caribbean Cruse on Sept. 8. I have never been on a cruise in my life, and I am thrilled to pieces. However, I also have not worn shorts, much less a swim suit, for almost 10 years now...due in part to the scars from the accident, but also in large part to the weight gain. There is NO WAY I am going on this cruise and hiding behind sweats and baggy jeans. I WILL buy a swimsuit the week before I leave on that cruise, and I WILL wear it... my task between now and then is to make sure that keeping that vow will be a pleasurable event and an accomplishment to be proud of, not a walk of shame.
