Things to do differently this time

I started over last week with SP, and so far it's going well, I'm on my weight loss track. There are a few things I want to do differently this time around:

1. Don't use weekends as an excuse to eat and drink anything I want. Weekends were my biggest downfall last time. I'd do great during the week, only to overindulge on the weekends and have to start over every Monday. This time, I will track my food on the weekends and eat really well.

2. Eat well on road trips. Last summer I went on a lot of trips. This was also an excuse to eat fast food. This time, I will not use road trips as a reason to get off my diet. I will keep track of what I eat on the road, try to find Subways as road stops, and if I have to eat fast food, I won't get fries and will order the healthiest thing on the menu.

3. Only track my weight once a week. Last time I'd weigh myself every day and if I went down at all, I'd track that. Then I'd go up again without tracking it. This time around I will only weigh in on Wednesdays, so I have an honest way of seeing my progress.

4. Only try to lose 2 pounds a week. Last time I would meet my goal, and then want to lose more by the end of the week. I want to focus on meeting my weekly weight loss goal each Wednesday, instead of trying to lose a pound a day, which isn't realistic or healthy.

I'll probably think of some more to add, but here's to a great new start!
