NOT a good day

Tuesday, January 22, 2008

I have been looking forward to getting on my treadmill for days. Hubby said he would dig it out and set it up so I'd be able to use it. I used to have an entire room devoted to my exercise equipment, but when my granddaughter came o live with us I had to pack it all away. I was so excited to be able to use it, it felt like claiming a small piece of my old life back. Well, he told me that there just isn't enough room. I just want to cry.

Thanks for welcoming me to the Savings Jar Club. It looks like you have been handed many challenges. I too have back pain, sciatica and shoulder pain from some auto accidents. In time I have adjusted. I hope all is going better for you since you last posted a blog on your page. It is said that God never hands us anything that he doesn't hand us the strength to get though. You sound like a caring grandmother and I'm sure that is all your granddaughter will ever see in you -- that you love her.

I wanted to thank you for the warm welcome. I am sorry to hear about your treadmill. Have you heard of Leslie Sansone Walk DVD's they are great and you would be able to workout with the baby in the room. Natalie

Please don't give up!Maybe you can just pull it out whenever you want to use it.Or just put it in your living room! That's what I did when I lived in an apartment. Who cares what company will think when they come over just tell them your taking good care of yourself :)

Just tell him to put a fire under his but and in the green house and put all the pots out there! Also if you don't need all the furniture in your living room, get rid of some and rearrange. Just a thought or two. Hey don't give up! I look up to you! You realize that don't you?

I can SOOO relate to you! I had a small bedroom in our double wide mobile home set up with a treadmill too. When my daughter and her family moved up her from Florida and moved in with us last year (temporarily 'till they found a house to buy) My treadmill went out onto the porch. I used it as often as I could but my husband really, really hated it out there--in his "domain." So, eventually it went the way of most treadmills. Straight to Goodwill. I mourned its loss. I feel for you my friend. I really hope you can find some other way to reclaim that good feeling of "doing good stuff for your body" again.

Btw, thank you so much for the warm welcome to Bookworms. Hugs.

Honey, I'm so sorry! I understand how you feel. I was so proud of myself -- I had saved up for a treadmill so I could walk while watching my fave shows but even though it was one that would "fold up", there was no room in our little bitty house to set it up to use or to store it while folded up. I ended up selling it.
