Well tonight I completed my smoking cessation class put on by the American Lung Association. I'm really psyched that I've made it this long (7 days) Husband still smokes but doesn't seem to bother me. Now just worried about the weight gain; they tell me it's normal 10-12 pounds but I'm 60 pounds overweight now and can't that thought, so I have been logging a lot of miles on the treadmill. It helps take my mind off cigarettes as well.

I will start the weight loss process in 1-2 weeks. Can't do both right now. I feel that if I can overcome smoking - I can go anything!

    Awesome news! Your approach is spot on! Tackle 1 thing at a time.
    Weight gain for non-smokers is only when they replace the addiction of nicotine with food. SP is about getting the right amount of food/exercise, it won't let you gain weight, if you are committed. You sound committed to me!
