10 week Weight Loss Challenge / second week

Tuesday, January 29, 2008

So, last night I signed up for a 10 week biggest loser challenge. It cost me $29.00 to join. I have to attend every weekly meeting or I will be charged a $5.00 fee. Plus, I have to pay $1 for every pound I gain.

At the end of the challenge, 50% of the fee will go to the person with the most % weight loss, 30% for second place and 20% for third. Plus the person who loses the most inches gets the penalty (absent and weight gain) money.

I'm excited. I think it's just what I needed to push me forward. On top of the possible winnings there is also a lot of good information to be had.

I'll keep you posted.

Sounds like fun! Good luck, I hope you are the biggest winner!

Thanks for the invitation for the half-marathon, but I have to pass. I have come to realize that my bad leg does ok with no more than 30 minutes, occasionally 40 minutes of walking. Every time I have tried to push it past that, I end up in pain and have to go back to a minimal routine until it gets rested and recovers. I did one of the virtual 5Ks last fall, and it set me back for nearly a month. So I acknowledge my limits and work within them.

Good luck to you on the continuing marathon work!
