Mostly yes, very much. (I suffer from fatigue and skeletal issues causing pain) However I am also very cost conscious re having to live off the smell of an oily rag, which means that I bulk cook to save power costs, reduce cleaning up, and take advantage of really good specials. I have well in excess of a month's worth of mains or meat-portion of my mains, in my freezer, as well as many portions of pizza, and cooked polenta all ready to to crisp up in the frypan with the spray of oil.
Yes, actually I love to cook...but living alone I don't cook like I used to. Most times I make a meal and end up eating it several times. I really like cooking with fresh ingredients...vegetable stir fries with a protein on the side are my standby.
I finally learned to cook when I started paying attention to eating more healthfully, and now I absolutely love it! I love having the ability to create dishes, and flavour combinations, and preparations that are perfectly suited to my own preferences and nutritional needs.
Honestly, I can't imagine NOT being able to cook that vast majority of our meals now.
Sir Terry Pratchett: "Science is not about building a body of known 'facts'. It is a method for asking awkward questions and subjecting them to a reality-check, thus avoiding the human tendency to believe whatever makes us feel good."
