I have the Keto Friendly South Beach Diet Book and love it! I have followed the SBD and adapted it in many ways over the years. I feel like the newer book is all the things I was doing to make SBD a lifestyle. I don't know much about the meals and packaged foods you are talking about. Before I found Sparkpeople (2007), I was on the South Beach Diet Site. It was about the books and recipes and support back then. In the new book they talk about the new science of weight loss. They have adapted the program to incorporate things that have been learned.

I believe South beach diet has cook books and books about the diet; not just packaged foods. I am not sure if they have changed recipes to make it Keto friendlier or if it's just a gimmick. Hard to say!

I got my laugh today.... South Beach is now advertising that it's "Keto Friendly". Huh?! What does that mean??
My guess is that most of the folks that are Keto probably aren't buying into too many commercial prepared products, nor are they following a prescribed program like South Beach. Compatable? Probably...but more probably just trying to snag uneducated viewers!!
So this question: if you are following Keto: how many 'commercial' products do you buy, and would you pay for South Beach Diet/products?
