I'm always amazed that humanity has lasted as long as it has. For instance GMOs. Just saying. I can't afford organic on everything but I try to follow the recommendations for avoiding the worst offenders.
From my perspective the biggest issue in gardening/plant maintenance are the chemicals. From fertilizer to potting soil, pest spray, plant food ...you name it. I even have doubts about the ones that claim to be food safe and pet friendly.

I have always been aware of the dangers of tetanus and diphtheria re gardening /outdoors. Mum got diphtheria as a young child about 90 years ago from the soil, and in NZ it is/was common knowledge about the risks of tetanus. That's one of the reasons I find it hard to understand why a lot of the younger generation is soooo anti vaccinations. Perhaps it's a case of out if site, out of mind meaning if you haven't seen or heard of others contracting these conditions, they aren't a risk. However, that is not really the discussion here 😔 Kris
