Gardening is a nice investment of time that doesn't cost much money upfront and it can pay back dividends. The satisfaction of harvesting fruits and vegetables one grew from seed is divine. Go for a walk: good exercise and helps me think, I try to walk for an hour a day if I can. I always bring a little notebook and pen to jot down whatever comes to mind. Was really helpful when I was stuck on coming up with a lesson plan. Work on templates: planner templates is a hobby of mine and I've almost always got a backlog of stuff onplanners.com/template/weekly-savings-cha llenge

I'm retired so everyday is a day off. I enjoy sleeping in! Having a coffee in the hot tub, doing a little gardening, going for a walk, doing a little sewing, watching a little TV and then doing a few chores.

Days off means fun with the husband. This weekend we have Once (the musical), a baseball game, and a granddaughter's first birthday!

I don't work and haven't for a few years. I stay at home, only generally going out 1 day per week for my groceries, and up until my Mum died, to see her weekly.
I never get bored and *need* to be entertained. I play Solitaire on my phone, or get onto SparkPeople, reading message boards as well as articles. The same with FaceBook. I belong to a few groups that are health related (Sleep Apnea and Essential Tremors) so often read comments or respond to ones that I can. Occasionally I might watch TV during the day but when I do it is mostly to watch the news.
I recently bought a miniature piano kit. I just need to get some tweezers, then I can start assembling it! Hopefully, this will be the start of an enjoyable hobby.
I love to cross-stitch too, but my eyesight is not as good as it was before. I am just getting on in years.....
Today, I have the day off. I just walked to the nearby dessert stand to have a leisurely breakfast. I had 1 small packet of nasi lemak & 1 small cream of mushroom soup with garlic bread. I love going to that dessert stand, it's close to my house, just a few minute's walk and it's affordable.
I also ordered some sourdough bread, which I will pick up this coming Tuesday. Right now I'm listening to some relaxing guitar music on Youtube and sparking. I might do some cross-stitch later. Right now, I'm surfing the net, just chilling!
To those interested, here is the link to that soothing guitar music :
