Taking time to do activities that matter to me whether that is reading my latest book; wandering around for some creative inspiration; listening to fabulous music. Right now it has also meant dialing way back on my news consumption

@mlan613 Do you already do MapMyRun's You vs The Year challenges? I have been doing them for a few years and like to try to keep to a certain percentile. They also have Go the Distance and just added a Healthy at Home one. There is also a Zooma Challenge on Active that I just joined since my training group has been indefinitely postponed. Not sure how that will go, but I had been meaning to try out one of the Zoomas.
NOT doing for others to the extent that there is nothing left for you.

My idea is taking care of yourself and caring about yourself. Eating well, getting enough sleep, taking my supplements and getting exercise is important. I also "do my own thing" each day whether it's reading or while I'm cleaning listening to something I love.
This is funny. I advocate self care, but I don’t have a cohesive definition, just examples. Thanks for making me think, @LOCKAMENKA
Off the top of my head, I’d say self care is maintenance on you. Like caring for tools, your car, others, you need that same attention. What works might differ, one person needs bi weekly massage, another a daily bike ride, yet another needs solitude as down time, and that include a book and coffee. I need to dance, preferably to live music but I’ve been boogieing to my friends’ live streams the last few nights. I’m back on tour! This aging DeadHead is happy of that. Sure, it’s in my room....
Wake up every day knowing you make the decision to begin your journey anew.
This choice in this moment defines now. What is your now?
