Flaxseed and chia seed add their own flavour to foods, and have lots of fibre and healthy fats.

Avocado is a favourite for many, and also has both fibre and healthy fats.

My personal favourite is my morning breakfast "custard" (following the same basic method as the "self-crust pumpkin pie"), which I load of with a medley of vegetables and fruits and nuts and seeds, along with oat bran and wheat germ. They average out around 11-12g of fibre per serving, along with 20g of protein and a high level of vitamins and minerals.

While whole foods are awesome fibre sources, there are tons of delicious ways to get natural fibre if you use your imagination for recipes!

Are you eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, including beans and legumes? If you eat a sufficient amout, getting in the daily recommended 25 to 25 grams of fiber is easy.

If you haven't been eating enough, make sure you increase slowly to allow your body time to adjust to the recommended amount. Going too fast can be quite uncomfortable. :-)
