You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Thanks and I see that you are also a baseball fan. Your Red Sox manager used to be our Astros bench coach. We think the world of him, even if he did beat us in the playoffs last year. My neighbors across the street and next door are both from the Boston area and are huge Red Sox fans. We have lively talks all season long. Good luck on your weight loss.

Welcome to SP! Weight loss is not always a matter of numbers, so if I were you, I would follow your body’s signs, (spoken from a 5” person who will never weigh 100 as the doctor’s chart (but not the doctor, fortunately), says! I wish you good luck and happy losing! emoticon

Welcome I see you are a new member of Sparkpeople as of April 2019. Glad you have joined us

You have done well with all the weight you have lost - very impressive. If you still need to be down 50 pounds than follow your food plan that got you down and incorporate a little movement during the day. Take it slow - goal of 1 pound loss per week is great and very doable - just need to look at what you can change to lose just 1 pound and before you know it you will have lost 50 pounds

I am new to SP but am maintaining a weight loss of 287 pounds and trying to decide if I should maintain here or go for the last 50 pounds needed to make it to the doctor's chart. I seem to be stuck here at this weight and am looking to SP to help me decide. Any advice about SP especially would be appreciated. I am on Day 5 of the new member challenge.
