I weigh daily to be certain I'm drinking enough water. If I don't drink enough water in this 100+ weather we are having, my weight immediately goes up until I drink enough to release it again. Helpful! There are many articles on SP that state this is not a good practice for weight loss as it can be discouraging. I don't expect to see it stay put, I'm just using it to monitor water retention.

I rarely use the scale. The numbers don't define my accomplishments. It's pointless to weigh yourself everyday because your body fluctuates due to food & water intakes. It just don't make sense. You don't lose 1-2 lbs. overnight.

Too bad excuses don't burn calories

Once a month.

When I lost the 102 lbs I only weighed once every 3 months. I try to give myself time to actually accomplish my goals before I weigh. Otherwise I get depressed and down on myself because I haven't done MORE. Now I am losing the 11 lbs I've gained back before it becomes unmanageable.

Once a week. Last time I made a solid effort to lose weight I weighed in every day and I became obsessed. Obsession became overwhelming and I quit it all. I don't want it to be so life consuming this time and have it be life changing instead.

I weigh in weekly. Daily checking the scale stresses me when I see my weigh not moving in the direction I want it to go.

I don't weigh myself on a regular basis. I know I should. I have been going by the fit of my clothes (one item in particular). The scale has way too much power over me. I am working hard on creating healthy behaviors that lead to weight loss. I work so hard and then a gain shows up! It is devastating to me! Intellectually, I know I am so much more than the scale. I am trying to measure weight loss in other ways.

I get on it every day, but plan on putting my weight in here on Sundays. The number doesn't drive me crazy but it keeps me on track throughout the week.

Since last Thursday, it's been every day that I step on the scale. My dietitian said the old rule of no more than once a week is out. Stepping on it more than that can be a motivator to keep going or give you a reminder that you need to work harder each day at eating right.

Every morning. Have done this for years and years. I no longer freak out with the daily fluctuations.
I realize the number does not reflect actual weight gain or loss. I watch the overall trend just to keep on track.
