I avoid all sugar snacks.
No processed foods.
No added sugar.

That leaves...fruit, nuts, vegetables.

Not so hard when I journal the calories and stay on target.

The place I would start would be to start tracking 100% of my nutrition. A lot of times, snacking too much means you aren't eating enough and/or not hitting your macros (fat, carbs, protein). Track for 2-3 weeks and see where you're at. From there, you can start tweeking.

Personally, I allow for planned snacks, especially during the week. Some common snacks ate cottage cheese and Greek yogurt, both of which are higher protein and I go for versions with fat versus 0% fat and pair with a healthy carb like apples, pineapple, or kiwi. I often will mich 1 tablespoon of Chia seeds, hemp seeds, or raw cocoa nibs into my yogurt. Delicious!

Hi,

I'd like to learn some of the steps you take to stay away from those snacks that you love to eat. Cookies are my vice.
