Is that Hip Mobility one/Arthritis RX on SP or is it something that you found elsewhere?

IMREITE, do you mean the Arthritis Rx: Hip Mobility video? I'm having such troubles with my right hip, too!

Coach Nicole's total body workout with dumb bells is my go-to daily workout. Just adapt to how much space you have and how much energy you have. I break out in a sweat. All 3 parts run 42 min.

Thanks everyone for the helpful posts - I'd discovered some of these but got some more great ideas. You have each made it a great deal easier for me to find something for my goal of "10 minutes a day"

I'm with both of you. I can't get up from the floor, so it's chair exercises for me. I can do light cardio while standing. I love Coach Nicole's chair exercise series, but wish she'd do some more as have about memorized hers. I went to a physical therapist and do a lot of exercises for my back while lying in bed. They really help.

I love the chair exercise series. I have an autoimmune disease that sometimes makes my joints too sore for getting up and down for floor exercise. With the chair exercise videos I can do cardio, strength, and core exercises that get my heart pumping while being gentle on the joints.

Stay positive. "Every day is not good, but there is something good in every day." With God, all things are possible.

Good ideas. Lowfatvegan - good for you. Recovering from a serious auto accident that took 2 years and a couple of hospital visit. If you can do, so can I. Just start slowly and be prudent. If you would still like an exercise buddy, I'd like to volunteer myself?

I also have chronic fatigue and chronic pain and one of my resolutions is daily exercise if you want to have an exercise buddy online I'm available.
I also like Nicole's chair videos here but like the variety found on YouTube. On YouTube you can find a lot of exercises when you search using the word 'senior' before the name of the exercise and it's slower paced, seated, or otherwise adjusted so they typically don't wipe me out. Ex; senior yoga, senior cardio, etc.

My favorites are regular Tai Chi Chuh and Qigong.

My favorite SP beginner exercise video is the SP 28 day boot camp: total body workout video because it work the whole body by using dumbbells.

Thanks for your suggestions. I am thrilled to discover a number a good beginner workouts on YouTube -- I think my belief that they weren't there was from looking for truly beginner strength-training workouts. Jessica Smith's "walk and talk" video I tried was perfect for that day. Will look for the band workout. I think Coach Nicole is always worth checking out. And yes, I should check out the Bollywood moves! My energy is up this week, but... I've hurt my back. This is so difficult for an all-or-nothing gal. I'm really struggling with the "something is better than nothing" kind of mindset I need right now.

Coach Nicole does some great short workouts - the 10 min ones are easy to fit in the day, although some may need modifying if too fast for the current fitness level. I also had fun laughing at myself trying out the bollywood dance moves!

I like the low impact cardio workout that is available for members who have premium. Also, there is a band workout on SPARKPEOPLE TV that I really like too.

Thanks, Olga. Didn't think of YouTube for Leslie Sansone. I'm not too keen on yoga or Pilates, and lifting is fine with me; In fact, it seems to be something my body really likes as long as I don't overdo it. When I do manage to get myself to the gym, I do low weights, high reps on the machines and do very well with that. I also do very well at the pool, where I use the warm leisure (kiddy's) pool and just twist and stretch and do all those neat things you can do in water without the limitations of gravity. My body always appreciates it when I get off the computer and move it! I'm just looking for stuff I can (and will) do at home when dragging myself out in the dark winter just isn't going to cut it...

You can get Lesley Sansone and many other exercise videos on youtube. Also, if you search the Spark videos maybe some of the yoga or pilates videos would be good for you as there isn't a lot of jumping or lifting.

I'm dealing with chronic fatigue and cannot do my old workouts, especially if it means having to get out of the house to go to the gym or the pool. I'm also without a TV these days, so the Leslie Sansone and other DVDs I have aren't available to me these days. Some of the videos here on SP look pretty good, especially Coach Nicole's, which I plan to try. I'm looking at her chair videos, in particular. Anybody have others they like? I know I need to keep moving!
