Depends how you're dividing up the workout. If you're doing 3 exercises for biceps and 3 for triceps, for example, you really don't need that many. Here's an article you might find helpful:

So doing 2 or 3 exercises per body part each night should be good?

In general, I'd recommend changing your routine every 4-6 weeks since your body quickly gets used to doing the same thing all the time. Doing a full body routine that includes a few exercises for each major muscle group should be sufficient as long as you're using a weight that is challenging and fatigues your muscles at the end of the set.

If i strength train 3 days a week for an hour or less and want to build lean muscle. How many exercises per body part should i do each day and how often should i change exercises so i dont adapt?
