Homemade Beef Barley vegetable soup. Perfect for this snowy cold day. I'll add an apple and I had meant to grab a piece of grainy bread this morning, but forgot.

I had a cup of cooked spaghetti, 1/2 a cup of lean ground turkey mixed with about 8 tablespoons of prego sauce, and a slice of whole wheat bread. I also drank a 16.9 fl oz bottle of water. Trying to get my 8 glasses everyday. I usually average 4-5 glasses a day now, but I noticed I am less hungry at night. Eat up during the day so you're less hungry at night.

It tasted so good; why is it that chicken soup - noodle or rice always tastes so great when you're sick.

It ended up being my lunch and midday snack combined because I had lunch WAY late...

1 cup roasted red pepper soup
1 slice turkey breast
1/2 cup brown rice
1/4 black beans

I wish I'd have remembered to bring some fruit - I'm craving some of that now. But overall, I feel that was pretty balanced.
