I am astounded by the benefits of tracking my food. Not only have I learned about portion control, but I am constantly learning about the nutritional benefits. I find myself saying no to certain foods now because I find that the 'cost' is not worth it in the end. I will keep tracking my food even after I reach my goal.

Those really ARE valuable lessons to learn. I have been on this journey for quite a few years now, and have also been maintaining for a few years with the normal couple kg up/down. You know what? I STILL weigh all of my food and enter it all into the Nutrition Tracker to ensure that I STAY where I need to be :-)

SparkCoach asked what I've learned tracking my meals: 1. My estimates re quantities were more than generous...lol. Measuring keeps me honest. 2. I like being aware of what goes in my mouth. 3. I like being in control of my body. 4. Healthy new habits replace the ones that were keeping me overweight and sedentary. 5. And it makes the 'splurges' even sweeter because I make it count!
