Yes. Bobs Red Mill TVP was listed on Lunch, Wed, June 5th. I have found out what it is and tried to find it at several stores here in the area but ended up ordering it online. I appreciate your response. Thank You

Was TVP in your meal plan? I checked the past few days of your tracker and didn't see it listed as a recommendation.

It is an ultra processed soy product. I find it saddening that Spark would recommend it.

I agree.

Kudos on trying the plan, and shopping accordingly!

As already mentioned, TVP is "Textured Vegetable Protein", and the Bob's RedMill version can be found on-line via their own site ( www.bobsredmill.com/tvp-textured-veg-prote
in.html
) or via Amazon if you can't find it at your local grocer.

The Spark menus can also be easily adapted to suit your own preferences and local availability. Basically, the TVP can be replaced by any protein source of the same general nutritional quality - and it can be vegan, or vegetarian, or animal protein depending on your own preferences. If the TVP is being used as an ingredient in a recipe, then you could replace it with 3 oz of ground chicken, or 1-1/2 oz of ground turkey, or 3 oz of shredded cod (if you eat meat / fish) - or you could go with a different soy product such as tofu, or one of the Beyond Meat products that use pea protein ( www.beyondmeat.com/products/beefy/ ).

Hopefully you will find an option that you enjoy!

It is textured vegetable protein. It would be easiest to find at a health food store or maybe even Amazon/online. I have never used it so I can't recommend a good substitution for it but there are a few grocery stores around me that have started carrying it in the last few years in the baking section.

I didn't get here in a day, but damn I had fun! I know it won't be easy to get out but I plan on having fun.

I try to follow the meal planning that is provided by Sparkpeople but I am having trouble finding some of the items in my local grocers ( Kroger, Walmart, HEB) can someone out there tell me what Bobs Red Mill TVP is? Thanks a bunch.
