Hello Spark Friends!

Sorry I didn't get a chance to post yesterday but, I was so wore out when I got home that I didn't do much besides eat and get ready for bed. I went to the gym yesterday for the first time in probably a year and a half. I walked a mile on the treadmill and did some strength training exercises. I think that's pretty good since I am starting all over again. Since I walk so much at work each day, I always get over 10,000 steps in. However, yesterday I got over 15,000 steps in since I went to the gym. While at the gym, one of the coaches/trainers was telling me about an 8 week challenge/class that will start the first week in August. The person who improves the best overall wins. I think he said they would win money but, I can't remember how much. I'm thinking seriously about joining it. emoticon

I have an interview tomorrow and our daughter is getting married this Saturday so I'm not sure I will make it back to the gym anymore this week but, I plan to go a lot more next week.

Here's is my progress so far:

7/15 - CW: 237
7/22 -
7/29 -

Down 3 pounds! emoticon I will take that. At least the scale is going in the right direction!

Hello Spark Friends!

My day has mostly been the same as the past 3 days. 30 minutes of exercise and 30 minutes of strength training.

emoticon I am so excited because I stopped on my way home this evening and joined the gym! It's open 24 hours and that will really help with my work schedule. I'm also excited because 1.) it's a fairly new gym and 2.) it's been a long time since I actually went to the gym and I'm ready to get back at it. I plan to start Monday! Will let you know how it goes!

I didn't do too bad yesterday. I got 60 minutes of exercise in (actually 30 minutes of exercise and 30 minutes of strength training) so that's a start. I'm not doing as well on the water intake as I would like but, I have never liked drinking it. So getting any in is a win for me. I know it will take some time to get to my required amount but, I'm confident I can do it. emoticon

Today was really just a repeat of yesterday. I plan to join a local 24hr. gym on Thursday (payday Yay!). emoticon So we will see how that goes. I am currently a member through another gym but they are not open 24 hours so it's kinda an inconvenience with my work schedule.

Will be back tomorrow to give another update! Anyone care to join me on this Awesome challenge? You can jump in anytime! emoticon

Who is up for a 24 week challenge? The challenge will begin Monday July 8th and end Monday December 23rd. Just in time for Christmas! I don't know about you but, I sure would love to lose some extra unwanted pounds before Christmas!

Upon joining, introduce yourself and let us know how many pounds you plan to lose in 24 weeks. There will be no set day of the week for you to weigh in but, I would like for us to post our weight each Monday.
