emoticon & emoticon from northern IL! Wow, you're off to a great start with clearing out the non-healthy foods in your pantry and getting the fresh produce! Another thing to keep in mind is your water intake as thirst is often a precursor to some of unhealthy temptations. emoticon

OMG! You guys are awesome. I received a bunch of messages with lots of great ideas. Remember, I'm the new gal with the cravings. First salt, then sweets, then chocolate....then start all over again.
So....today, I'm cleaning out my cupboards of all of those snacks (my grandson will have to snack elsewhere). Then its off to a farmer's market for some good stuff. Thanks again for the support and I'll keep you all informed. Bev :)

Welcome to the team, Bev! You'll find the team an active and friendly place. The more your participate and the more you'll get in feedback and support.

When cravings hit think of HALT: Hungry Angry Lonely Tired. These are often the causes of break downs in resolve. Try to keep these at bey or be cautious when they occur.
I look forward to your posts.

Paul

4 Noble Truths

1. Suffering is a part of life
2. Suffering is caused by our attachments and avoidances.
3. Suffering can be ended.
4. Freedom from suffering is possible by following the Eightfold path.

Bigotry disguised as morality is still bigotry just as an outhouse with
marble columns is still an outhouse.

Bev, welcome to the team. Being a lifetime member of WW, do you still log your food? If so, great. If not, try the nutritional tracker. Just seeing what you are eating may help with cravings.

Otherwise, think in advance of an alternate food for your craving that is lower in cal. emoticon

Hi, I'm Bev and I'm new. I need to lose about 30 pounds. I'm active as I walk about 2 miles a day and work out on the rowing machine afterwards for about 10 minutes and then stretch on our stretch machine. I have a walking partner.
I'm a life member of Weight Watchers but feel that I need more motivation. My main problem are my food cravings. I can't seem to curb those cravings so I munch. Any help on squelching those cravings would be greatly appreciated.
Bev :)
