Welcome to the group. I too have had a PE and am on warfarin. Lucky me, inherited Factor V mutation from my Mom. Being on warfarin can be a challenge since it reacts with changes in our diet and other medications, but you get used to it. Good luck.

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling… And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

Hi my name is Lisa, seriously going to try and lose weight so I joined spark people!

About a month and a half ago (4/1) I was hopsitalized for a massive PE. Got the TPA, then heperian, then lovonox and warfarin and was finally discharged 4 days later. All of this at 21. I have no genetic history just I was taking birth control.

Now I am just on warfarin for the next 2 years.

I recently completed my semester (at college) on time and with a 4.0! (I tend not to brag, but hey I think I have good reason this time).

I was cleared to start exercising about a month ago, but currently I am only running 1-1.5 miles 3x a week. Still pretty good considering. Hopefully this summer I can regain my previous fitness level and be healthier.
