I know - it will be great when they finally extend the bike trail down to Lunken! Eric and I rode on the Miami Whitewater trail once or twice last year and we both enjoyed it - I don't think it's any farther than driving to Milford to get on the trail there, but for some reason it seems longer! It's a nice area though and I'm sure we'll go back this summer.

I'm definitely glad it's Friday, although I'm sure today will be another long day. At least I can look forward to having tomorrow and Sunday off! Plus, my boss will be out for most of next week, so that'll be good too.

I don't really have any plans this weekend other than relaxing. Eric works all day today and tomorrow so we'll probably do something together on Sunday.

How is Jason's job going so far? Do you have anything fun planned for this weekend?

Sounds like you definitely need some good long exercise to work off that stress!

Jason and I like doing the 8 mile loop trail at Miami Whitewater forest on weekends. It's off the Dry Fork Road Exit on 74. If it's not raining - we're there, even when it's very cold. We just wear more layers. A bit far from Norwood. You'd probably be better off going to the bike trail. They keep talking about extending it all the way down to the city, which would be awesome.

Good morning Jen. Things aren't too bad here. I'm very frustrated at work, but other than that, I can't complain much! Eric has had the flu this week, so he's had a rough few days, but I think he's starting to feel a lot better than he did over the weekend. I hope I didn't get it from him - I don't have time to be sick!

I hope you enjoyed your day off - I totally know what you mean about needing a mental health day. It seems like I've been wanting those every week lately!

You may have seen the belly dancing group that a friend of mine knows. I saw them on the news when they were at Coney Island for SummerFair last year-they were pretty neat. I'm sure it would be interesting taking classes!

I'm glad the snow is finally going away - hopefully the temps will start going up soon! I'm anxious to get outside and run again, but I'm too much of a wimp to do it when it's cold out.

Have a good day!

Hope all is well with you Lindsay.

Last weekend, Jason and I enjoyed a little bit of the free Fine Arts Fund sample weekend. We saw a belly dancing group. I might go check out a class or two. I'm tired of doing just jazzericse all the time.

Yesterday - I took a mental health day. Well for health too - I was up most of the night on Sunday with a Migraine. So I slept until 10 am on Monday - then I did Jason's taxes. I still need to make an appointment to get mine done. This is the first year I need to file Jazzercise income, so I don't want to do it alone.

That's awesome about Jason! I'm sure that you will you both breathe a sigh of relief. It sounds like you had a great weekend too - mine was very relaxing. Eric came down Saturday night, then stayed with me until late Sunday. I made him lots of good food, and we just watched movies and stayed in.

I worked for a few hours yesterday, then went home around 11:00 when it went to a level 2 in Hamilton County. I worked some more from home, but got a lot of other stuff done too. It's nice to be back in the office all day today - I have a lot to do!

There hasn't been many houses come on the market in my price range lately, so things are a little stagnant but that's okay. Something will come along.

We haven't done any wedding planning yet - his brother is getting married in April and his sister in July, so we're kind of waiting until those are over to think about it. We have really only decided that it will probably be in January 2012, up near my parents.

I hope you had a safe trip to work this morning - have a good day!

Friday- I had a VERY big presentation at work in front of about 100 people. It was the biggest crowd ever that I had to speak to. My boss said I did wonderful.

Saturday, Jason and I went to see Wolfman - his choice for his V-Day Present. Then we went to Mechlenburg Gardens for dinner.

Sunday, we saw Gold at the Cinci Museum Center. There was a B1G1 special for V-day. a nice surprise once we were there. Then we went to El Rancho Grande for dinner (the old Grand Fiesta). As we figured, it isn't as good now that it's part of a bigger chain. We'll stick to Cancun for now on.

Yesterday I had off but I shoveled for about 5 hours with all the snow plus all the blowing around. I slept very good last night.

What's Eric doing now? How's the house hunt and weddign planning going?

Jason finally got officially hired by the place he's been temping at for a while. So that provides a little bit more security.

Happy Friday Jen! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? Tonight I'm seeing Cinderella by the Cincinnati Ballet and Sunday I'm spending the day with Eric since he's off...I'm really looking forward to it.

I got called once for jury duty when I was in college, so I wasn't able to serve. My boss just served on the grand jury a couple of months ago and he said it wasn't too bad. My officemate has also served 2-3 times in the past couple of years too.

Today I'm having lunch with someone I used to work with at Xavier - I haven't seen him since before Christmas so it should be fun and a nice break in the day.

Have a good one!

Back to work. Oh well.

I got my first ever call to jury duty. I know most people hat eit, but since it's my first time, I'm kinda excited.

How frustrating! I would have never guessed that your office would be closed today.

I left for work about 6:45 and it took about 35 minutes to get here, so not as bad as I thought. I've been watching the artimis cameras throughout the day and it looks like the interstates are doing okay, so I'll probably stay until 3:30 or so then head home.

I hope you at least enjoyed your afternoon at home. Maybe you'll have a full snow day tomorrow!

Good morning Jen - congrats on being an aunt! emoticon I'm sure everyone in your family is really excited. It's always nice to have a baby around :-)

We had Eric's brother and fiancee over for the Super Bowl last night - what a great game! We were all rooting for the Saints, so we were pretty happy with the way it turned out. Now I'll get into XU basketball until the Reds start in April.

I hear another round of snow is supposed to come - so not looking forward to it. I have something scheduled every day this week, and it annoys me when things get all crazy when the weather is bad. Plus, all three of our troupes have shows this week, and it's always a pain when we have to worry about them being out there and rescheduling shows. Oh well - spring is on its way hopefully!

I hope your week is less busy and more relaxing than last week - have a good one!

You will find that with some house owners - they just want to get rid of the house and sell it "as is". We had one offer go this way on a house in Sayler Park. You'll find the one right for you and Eric and the process will go smoother.

For the last 4 days - I've been an Aunt! My older bother had the first grandchild of the family on Thursday 2/4. My nephew's name is Elliot. I just got pictures this morning. I hope to be able to see him in May.

Good morning Jen. Sorry to hear things have been crazy for you at work - is it good busy or bad busy?

The house I was negotiating for fell through - the owners thought I was being unreasonable asking for repairs and decided they didn't want to deal with us anymore! Oh well! We're back to square one now :-)

Today I have my first meeting in the new Fine Arts Fund office on Central Parkway. It'll be nice to see their new space - they had been located in Hyde Park for a long long time, so it'll definitely be a bit of an adjustment for everyone.

I hope things get better for you at work!!

Jason and I were at the Cincy BeerFest on Saturday at the Hyatt downtown. We made a whole little get away out of it and stayed at the hotel over night. It was great.

I've been SSOOO busy at work. If it wasn't for the fact that I teach Jazzercise, I probably would have stopped going weeks ago and gained 50 pounds from all the stress.

I totally hear you there! I took Monday off, so Tuesday felt like Monday. Today sort of feels like a Friday, which sucks because it's definitely not!

I put an offer on another house on Wednesday evening and we are on the last step of negotiating I think...will be interesting to see what happens in the next few days, especially as the inspection and appraisal happen.

That's a bummer that Jason has been sick, but good that he was working...I didn't know! Where did he find a job??

I woke up this monring saying "why is the alarm going off? Is it Saturday or Sunday?"

Then my snooze went off again and I realized it's only Thursday and almost cried :(

Jason's been feeling ill the last couple days. He says he's better today. I goes back to work tomorrow. He's been off for a week as they did year end inventory.

Hey Jen!

I took yesterday off; I had a doctor appt. and needed to get my car serviced. It feels like a Monday to me unfortunately...I'll am messed up!

I'm glad you like your new tv. While Eric and I were running errands yesterday, we went into Best Buy and looked at tvs and several other things. We have no intention of buying one anytime soon, but it was nice just to look at them for a bit.

I loved the weather on Saturday - I went out for a run and it felt really great to be back outside again. And here we are back to the winter weather unfortunately!

I hope you had a good Monday - have a great week!

A new Monday already?! ARG! I took half a day Friday because I was so exhausted after last week.

The new TV is Awesome! 40". We don't have the money to have nice HD Cable though, so we are just enjoying the big picture for now.

Saturday- we did the 8 mile Miami Whitewater trail in 1 hour, 36 minutes. a new record for us. I'm still hurting a little bit.

Woo for a new tv Jen! Eric always makes fun of mine because I've had it since at least junior high and it's small, but it still works! He keeps telling me that he's going to buy me a new tv for a housewarming gift...but he really means he's going to buy himself a new tv for a housewarming gift!

I'm in the midst of a big project right now too - we have to do two fairly intense reports for the Fine Arts Fund every year and the first one is due next Friday. I'm hoping to have a quiet day so I can make some progress on it. Congrats to you on finishing your first big project of the year!

I ate like an absolute pig yesterday, so I am of course feeling guilty and sad about it today - I'm blaming it on hormones, which makes me feel a little better! I'm going to try to be better about it today...

Happy hump day!

Love Hockey - really dislike $7.50 beers. Why?! Honestly!

I finished my first big project of 2010 at work - 2 straight days of producer training. Only 10 more to go. We ran way over time, and had to cut out 1 section completely - but still received good comments from those who attending - so not a complete failure.

Accord are wonderful and SO dependable. Eric will have that car for 10 years if he treats it right (or someone else wrecks it like what happened to mine). I don't know of any 10 year old Fusions.

This weekend - buying a new TV and going to the boat/outdoor/hunting/fishing show at the Duke.

Good morning! I don't know if any of you are working today, but I am! At least it will be a pretty quiet day.

Tonight Eric and I are giving blood, then looking at some Hondas and going to Best Buy. He is starting to look into getting a new car and has pretty much determined it will either be a Honda Accord or a Ford Fusion. Both are great cars, and I'm looking forward to us both having reliable cars for once!

Jen - sounds like you had a pretty fun weekend planned. I really like going to the Cyclones games, but haven't made it to one yet this season. I don't know much about hockey, but it's just so much fun watching them skate and everything.

Have a great Monday!

You cannot beat Cancun for Mexican (unless you are in the southwest or Mexico itself (although I'm guessing about Mexico becuase I've never been there emoticon ).

Jason & I recently joined the Germania Society and one of the groups they have is an air rifle shooting club. We are goign to their first get together tonight. We'll see if it's as cool as it sounds.

Then tomorrow we are going to the Cyclones. I'm sure we'll be out and about walking with it being close to 40 all weekend - YAY!

Have a great one all!

Yeah, I don't care what they say about any sort of recovery they think might be happening - there are still a lot of people down on their luck right now. I hope you're able to find something soon Amy! What kind of work are you looking for?

Last night I had dinner with a friend at Don Pablos - I hadn't been there in quite a long time. I checked their website before I went - their food is absolutely awful in terms of nutrition. I picked a dish that was under 400 calories without the side items then ordered the seasoned vegetables, which were the best part of the meal. Definitely not a place I would frequent...there are much better mexican places around!

Last night I watched an episode of Independent Lens on PBS - it was a group of senior citizens who have this amazing chorus that travel around the world. It was such an awesome program, but I bawled my eyes out for a while because two of their members died during the taping of the show. If you're interested, apparently there is more info on pbs.org. I think it helps prove the fact that you're only as young as you feel!

Have a good day!

I wish I could afford Jazzercise. I used to go to the one at the Senior Citizen Center on Springdale. But, my mom paid for it then. I'm unemployed right now, so I go to Fitness 19 which is only $9 a month. But, when I went I loved it. I love to dance! Hopefully, when I get a job, I can rejoin...

Good morning everyone! We are definitely not getting off easy this winter - I am so ready for spring to come. I am happy that the days are getting longer though.

I had a great weekend; did some relaxing but got lots of sewing and other stuff done too. Yesterday I went to Hollywood with my brother and dad for a couple of hours. I only play penny slots, so it takes me a while to lose my money. Yesterday I lost $20...the casino wasn't be very nice to any of us. My dad and brother usually play Keno or blackjack, and I enjoy watching them play blackjack. It's just interesting to watch the dealers do their thing.

I have been getting more and more into the habit of exercising in the morning - it's so nice to have that done before I get to work...and it's one less thing to worry about when I get home at night. Jen, how are your jazzercise classes going? Are you still enjoying teaching them?

Have a good day everyone - keep your fingers crossed that we'll hit 40 degrees this week!

glad everyone made it home OK on Friday and survived the freezing weekend.

I had a Toastmasters event on Saturday, that unfortunately gave me no option to eat until 2:00 pm. Which left me with a killer headache. We went to a bar for half the Bengals game. Bummer both they and the Eagles lost.

Sunday- I startd preparing for taxes. It's tough staying focused to get a whole year of your life organized.

Sorry about the house offer Lyndsay. Jason and I lost a few during our search. You'll find the one right for you and Eric.

I grew up on the west side in Delhi. But I managed to escape. Not an easy thing to do. Most of the folks I grew up with are still there.

Well the other offer was higher, so I didn't get the house. I'm a little disappointed, but they may have offered the asking price or something that I wouldn't have been able to afford anyways. So, I'll just keep my eyes out for something else! I'm not in a rush to find anything as my lease doesn't expire for my apartment, but I would definitely like to get something before the tax credit expires!

Today I am doing laundry and finishing some sewing projects...a nice relaxing day indoors.

Well I hope you get the house! My brother just went through the same things. Every offer they made, it was shot down because someone offered more. So, they just decided to have a house built. Let us know what happens and enjoy your weekend!

Happy Friday girls!

Great job on the 20 pound loss Amy!! I'm sure it feels great having that weight off!

My realtor called last night to tell me that there are two offers on that house, which was crazy to hear because it's been on the market for over a year. So, I opted to keep my offer the same and see what they say. She thinks we'll hear something sometime today, so we'll see.

I hope you both have fun plans for the weekend. I am going to enjoy being home for the first weekend in quite a while.

I hear ya Jen - you just never know around here! I'm glad we have windows in our office so we can watch the snowfall - it sure is pretty.

It'll be interesting to see how the roads get as the day goes on...

I put an offer on a house last night and they have to respond by 6:00 tonight, so I'm pretty excited. It's an estate sale, so I really have no idea what they will come back with. If everything goes well, I will close at the end of February. Woo!

Have a good day - I hope everyone gets home okay today!

Well I'm watching the news now and we're supposed to get 3-5 inches. They said the worst of it will come between 9:00 am and 5:00 p.m. It seriously couldn't have come at a worse time. At least it will happen during the day while people can watch it hopefully from home, lol. Everybody who has to drive tomorrow, be careful! I'll be one of them. I clean from 9:00 to 2:00 tomorrow...:(

I'm sure thing will be fine on Friday Amy. It all of us who have to go to work on Thursday who'll deal with the pain of it all. Lucky you.

Lyndsay - leaving early is sometimes worse because everybody else leaves early before the plow trucks can do their thing. Then the plow trucks get stuck in the traffic too and no body gets to go anywhere!

Same with my fiancee Amy! He loves winter, the cold and snow and grumbles when we don't have a "real winter" I probably wouldn't mind it as much if it didn't wreak such havoc with the traffic. I'm fortunate to have a job where I can work from home or leave early if it looks like it's really getting nasty.

That would be awesome if we got the snow. My husband has been moaning, groaning, and whining that he wants accumulated snow. Hopefully, it will be the only big snow of the year, lol.

But, I do have to work on Friday, so hopefully they clear it up in time!

Jen - we are doing a black light show called Toby and the Ice Goblin at XU the 16 and 17 of January. I can't remember which show you saw a couple of years ago, but this is one that we are bringing back, so it will be very similar to the last time we did it. I think tickets are $7 for everyone, and it's in the Gallagher Center theater. I'm sure I will be there at least one of the days, so if you're interested in going, let me know!

Crazy drive home last night and to work this morning... I heard that they are calling for 3-6 inches on Thursday...oh boy!

Wow- xoAmy. Take it slow and don't make yourself sick again. Keep that water intake high.

Lyndsay - it's gotta be tough being back at work after all that time. I saw Madcap is doing a show at Xavier.

Welcome back! I'm back after over a month...but I went to the gym today and feel great. Even being sick with bronchitis, I'm trying my hardest to not fall of track again. Good luck to ya!

Hey girls!

I'm back after being off for two weeks and it is definitely hard getting back into the habit of things. I feel like I haven't accomplished much yet today, but oh well I guess.

Jen - it's always nice to have those days off when you can just stay at home and get things done or just relax! I'm looking forward to some of those this month.

Molly - thanks for the congrats. I was very surprised! How are things going with you?

I hope you both have a good start to 2010...hard to believe another year is starting already!

I had 4 days off work that was a wonderful "stay-cation" it was awesome. Jason and I did so much. Usually when we have 4 days off we are driving back to PA, which isn't relaxing at all.

Congratulations Lyndsay! I saw you're engaged.

How is everyone doing? I am doing great - running group started this morning, and it was awesome to train with others, even though I was one of the walkers, not the runners. It will come to me soon enough

Yes it is. I always had him in my thoughts, knowing that whatever house I bought would be our house at some point, but now I feel like I need to involve him in the process more, even though it will still just be me buying it and the mortgage in my name. Lots and lots to think about!

How awesome that you got a lot of money to buy a new tv! Eric and I both have old old tvs but we are just waiting for a while to replace, especially now with everything else going on.

I'm still off this week which has been really nice. Tomorrow I'm going shopping with my best friend who I don't get to see very often. We are both very much looking forward to a girls day out!

I hope you have a good week at work!

The Holiday was good - though I missed seeing my little brother. we just couldn't get to the same place at the same time. bummer. Other than that - all good. Jason and I got lots of money so that we can buy a new TV.

I guess buying a house now is a lot different.
