I have been doing Kwok Wu Chuen for 2.5 years. It is a combo of Tae Kwon Do, Karate, & Kung Fu. It is the perfect exercise because there is a goal system in place...earning belts! With other exercise programs, I would find every reason in the world not to go. But with Martial Arts if I don't attend class,Ican't get my next belt rank!For our school there are 10 belts and for the first 8 you need 30 classes to even be considered for the next belt, so it is a great motivator. Also the self dicipline, perserverence I have learned through martial arts, helped me stick to my diet this time. I had tried before and failed, but out school is really big on mental dicipline and it helped me. Plus it has challenged me to expect more of myself. I have done things in MA that 2.5 years ago I thought were impossible. Lastly, it has given me a chance to meet some of the coolest people in the world!
