well you've come to the right place. you've joined a great team who are here to help you in your health journey.

everyones chemistry is different. people who can eat anything and not gain weight have no concept of what we go through. so try this,


first throw out all the junk food in your house.

then Use the food tracker. input everything that goes into your mouth. stay within your calorie range. watch portion size, keep healthy snacks on hand. apple, celery, etc. exercise. you must burn more calories than you eat.

exercising is key. I hope this helps

I just started my second week. So far, so good. You will LOVE it here. So many ideas and so much support. I think this keeps you honest. The prior posts are right... track, track, track. If you have to stop and account for your food and exercise, it really makes you think about what you have eaten and what physical activity you have undertaken for the day. Good luck!

I've been on SP for almost 4 months n still learning something new everyday. I just bought the Spark book, n can tell already I will love it!! The best thing about SP is, it's so much more than just dieting! it's about sharing, caring, helping, getting help, learning how to stay motivated, feeling good about myself so I CAN be positive n help others!! I've never been able to stick to a healthy living plan this long before in my 15 years of "dieting"!! Now, I feel like I WANT to do this for a lifetime! It feels so good to live a healthy life! emoticon

I also started sparks less than a month ago. It was a little confusing at first to find my way around where to track? what to track? so I worked on making some friends first. my sis in law was already on the site so at first she was my biggest supporter. Encouragement and support along this weight loss journey are at least 1/3 of this program ( just speaking for me) then there is tracking your food intake ( makes it so much easier for me to stay on goal, the same as my fitness minutes ( the type of exercise, how often and how long you exercise) that keeps me accountable. I can see in black and white if I want to burn more calories I need to do so many minutes of an exercise. emoticon

Sounds like a lot of work, but really once you get the hang of it and join teams that you might enjoy. This site works for you emoticon
