I think it would be great. I've been pretty good about getting there frequently during the week. I do prefer spin type classes because of my bad knee. The ortho told me bike riding.... they are hard, but I am getting better. Unfortunately, I can't do any of the dancey stuff. Not only do I have two left feet, but with my bad knee it is just not happening at the moment. Which is why I've been trying to do the pump class. I am really getting into that.
I will be back in the gym (teacher workdays make me a bit lazy) Thursday for the the 8:30 spin and then the flow class. Maybe we can meet and introduce ourselves at that class? I will look for the hot pink mat. Mine is a light blue and I tend to sit on the right side of the room as you enter.
I am also a SAHM for the most part, although I do work part-time Wednesdays, so I can never get over there then.
I added you as a spark friend, so if we want to talk again, we can do that either way.

Hi! I've been back on SP for about two weeks and I just found this local forum! I've been looking for workout buddies too and it seems we might go to some of the same classes (although I don't do RPM). I'm a SAHM and I tend to be there for the 10:35 classes. I'll be at Body Combat tomorrow and at the Body Flow on Thurs (I have to miss Tuesday). I also do Zumba on Wed. mornings. I've been trying to get back into Body Pump, but it just hurts me too much :) I have pictures on my SparkPage and I bring a hot pink yoga mat to the Flow classes.

Can't make it today - just woke up and it's 11 a.m.... I WILL GO to the 10:30 body flow class tomorrow, for sure. I'll bring a bright blue yoga mat - there are a lot of ladies who have ponytails, so I looked for you, but don't know if you were there.

Ok, missed you last week, but I will be heading over to Gold today - Tuesday. First I will go to the movie room and spend some time on the bike, then go to the pump class at 12:30. I hope we can meet soon!

Sorry I didn't make it today - still under the weather. Can we pick another day next week? I think after this weekend I will be finally over this cold. I hope you enjoyed both classes today!

I would like to try the Body Flow class - can't do two in one day - you go girl! I have brown hair, and will wear my "stop global warming" t-shirt - it's green. See you on Thursday!

Ok, I am going to go to the Body Pump class today (Tuesday) @ 12:00. I will also go to the Thursday 9:00 spin class and then to the 10:30 Body Flow. If you want to look for me, I am blond (hahahah more like greyish) with either pony tail or braid. I usually wear black everything... I have a yellow short sleeve jacket today and will wear also Thursday.
When I do the spin, I do not like to be upfront and in the other classes, I am usually on the right hand side of the floor.

I look forward to meeting and working out with you. It sounds like we are sorta both on the same page!!

Let me know when I should look for you!

Just looked at the schedule - if you would like to do body flow, that is good by me. I have never tried this class and it sounds interesting.

I could do either class - you choose, whatever is better for your knee. I tried working last year, and as a result stopped going to the gym entirely. So I am new to the gym again as well. I dislocated my knee 5 years ago, so I know what that's like - my doc said the best I could do is build up my quads to keep my knee from coming out again. I have 20 pounds to lose and I've been that way forever. I joined weight watchers before my 40th b-day this year and cannot stay within my points at all, which is why the exercise is so important. I like the body pump class as well, so really, it's your choice. Rachel teaches a class today at 12 and one on Friday at 9:30 - I like her classes too. Today I am just dead tired, this cold is knocking me on my butt.

I would love to meet you Thursday if that works. I work Wednesdays (bah) so I can't get over there tomorrow. But I do like Monica's Thursday 9:00 spin class. I've been twice now and I think she is great. I could also do Camm's 10:35 body flow or weights/strength instead.

I am a rather "new" old workout person. I've been working out for years, but I go on/off and I've never really gotten into the strength training side.

Frankly, I am not in the best shape (at least 40 lbs over weight) and on top of that last March I hurt my knee which has really taken its toll. I've seen an orthopedist, but I have not really done anything about it. Unfortunately, it totally demotivated me so I stopped going to the gym during the summer... but back to school, back to working out - although with limited mobility.

Where are you in your fitness "journey"? I ask because although I would love to have someone to workout with, I don't ever want to feel that I am slowing anyone down and becoming a burden!!

I would love to have a workout buddy for Gold's! I am a bit under the weather today with a cold, but I am planning to go to Vinyasa Flow at 8:30 tomorrow. I tried it two weeks ago and loved it. Would you like to meet at this class or maybe at Monica's spin class at 9 a.m.? Thanks!

Hi Everyone! I am rather new to Sparks and I am looking for some motivation. If you are interested in having a workout buddy I would love to meet you @ Golds Gym off of Route 123 in Fairfax. I generally go in the morning to the spin classes but need someone to work out with for all the "other" stuff we are supposed to be doing - like strength training and flexibility. I hate to do that all by myself and I am too cheap to hire the personal trainer.
If you are in the same boat as me and would like to work out together, send me a post!
