hello i have been with (on) sparks since 2009 when i started i was 182 (witch is biggy sized with you are only 5 feet tall) but i did not get real with my weight los unti april of this year. just like your self i got tired of being fat not having engery and not be able to keep up with my kids ( i have 3 kids 2 boys 17 14 and 1 girl 8) I am 39 and felt like i was 79. well i started to look at what i was eating and i sterted to work out (at lest 2 hrs a day 4 days a week) and now 11 weeks later i am 25 pounds lighter. slow and steddy wins the race. i think weight lost is like AA you need to be ready you have to want it you need support and no one can do it for you. SPARKS is a great place to start they have wonderful people that give great support! sparks ROCKS! wellcome and enjoy

Hi and welcome!

I'm in pretty much the exact same boat - except I'm 7 years older and have 3 boys rather than two. But we're in about the same starting place, so I know what you're dealing with. One day at a time, one small goal at a time. You can do it!

Hi everyone! I'm a mother of 2 boys ages 14 and 11. I'm married and I'm 32. I joined SP to find buddies to work out with or just to have friends in the same boat but also as a way to help me track my progress in a fun way. I was in shape all through my childhood and I didn't gain any weight until my first son was born. I lost half of that weight over time but then got pregnant again getting up to 230lbs. I lost about 30lbs and was around 200lbs for most of my adult life that is until I hit my 30's and now I'm 230 again and I'm NOT pregnant so this is NOT good. I'm just tired of feeling sleepy and sluggish all the time and I want to make REAL goals and stick to them this time. Goal setting and planning are the things I slack on the most, and without those there is nothing to aim for or plan for so therefore you get no where. So I'm hoping this site will change my life for good. I would like to be between 140-150 by the time I'm done:)
