emoticon ladies to one of my many homes, here in SparkPeople Land! I love to see new people come on board, as it gives me strength to carry on and I get a chance to help out, too!

Barbie, I also walk with Leslie. In fact I just finished a 4 mile walk with her, off of her DVD the 5 Day Walk Plan. She even has HIIT now, which I love. It's really intense, but it's so good!

Rita, I'm also a disabled veteran, and when I came to this site, I wasn't even able to finish a chair workout that was 9 minutes long. I believe I made it about 3 minutes and how to continue working my way up, Now, by His Grace, I'm walking more than I ever have in my life and I'm loving every minute of it!!! I'm loving it because there was a time, not to long ago, where I was told that a surgeon would be amputating my leg, and that same surgeon told me that I would be forever in a wheel chair on a walker. God did exceedingly abundantly above all I could ask or imagine, as I have my leg, and I'm in the best shape of my life! If there is anything I can do for you, just HOLLER and I'll do the best I can to give you a hand up! That goes for all of you ladies!!!

Be blessed,

- Nancy Jean -

Welcome. This site takes a little time to get use to but since it's meant for the long run instead a short jog, that's ok. You'll find yourself constantly adjusting what you do as you change. Glad to have you here with us.

I just got back on SP after a long absence. Started rethinking my eating the beginning of March, then signed on. I bought a Jawbone up to track my sleep and steps and it has been very motivational. Today I walked over 9 miles. I am a disabled vet and have been pretty much housebound for the last couple of years. It is amazing for me to be out walking so much. I have been sore almost every day from pushing myself further each day, but I feel like I have a new lease on life.

Welcome Barbie. I also have been an on and off again user. I'm hoping to stick around this time as long as my health allows this old woman. lol I was ready to start the 4 mile walks when I quit 2 yrs ago. The 1 mile will kill me I'm sure! hahahaha

Good luck my friend!

You are doing sooooooo GREAT! Hope I can get there one day too!

May the road rise up to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face And the rains fall soft upon your fields, And, until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

Thank you! I will check out Boot Camp, but it may be a little strenuous for my ole outa' shape bod at this point. I am doing Leslie Sansone "Walk Away the Pounds", and the 1 mile is killin' me! LOL! Last year I was doing the 3 mile and loving it, so...there is hope.

emoticon hi! I have been a member since 2009 and i am on and off the wagon but right now i am on! I like going to Sparkpoints and checking of things from the list and number one is the nutrition tracker and number two is fitness tracker! So if you do those two you are doing great! The rest i think is to help motivate us to stay on track! I am doing the Spring into Shape bootcamp challenge which is also a team you can try out! They do a daily video with coach Nicole and suggest 150 minutes of Cardio a week! Welcome!,

I joined Sparkpeople on April 2, 2014. I am still trying to find my way around the site. I have been religiously tracking my fitness and nutrition. Today I am joining some teams, trying to get more motivated. There are so many tools here and so many opportunities to grow.
