I've gone through the sugar challenge so many times that I could teach the class.LoL! As long as it's a class the as my mother would say... Do what I say and not what I do....To begin a habit takes at least 2 months I 'm told and 6 months to make a habit I'm told. It's not an easy task. emoticon

Thanks for posting. I suffer from sugar addiction as well, and it is a horrible struggle sometimes. I find if I can go without for approximately three days, then it is much easier to manage. Until that time, I am always thinking of my next food I am going to eat. But, I tell myself I can make it through the hard part. Right now I have been "clean" eating for about 6 weeks. I know it is a fragile achievement, but I take it one day at a time. Use Spark for friendship and inspiration. You can do this. I don't know anything about bulimia, but are you getting medical attention for that? All the best to you.

Glad you posted! Giving up sugar is not easy! Take it a day @ a time. When I was giving sugar up, I found it worked best to keep my hands busy -- knitting, crocheting, writing, even sparking. It helps. Eventually the cravings at least lessen. Hang in there.

I have a food addiction, more specifically, sugar addiction. I am ready to give up. I have for years kept track of weight and sometimes (not often enough) tracked my food on this site, but keep doing that without any success of actually losing weight/improving my health. I am diabetic and in this last year been diagnosed bulimic. My weight has gone up instead of down the last few months. My cholesterol is high. I have never posted here before and thought maybe if I had a few friends I might have better luck. I need to start as if "Day 1" with everything.
