Great attitude. I had wanted to lose 100 pounds by 1/9/10 but I lost 50+ pounds and have not felt deprived at all. I have met some wonderful people that I consider my friends along my journey to better health. emoticon

I just joined as well; you could spemd every moment with this without even trying. I am excited though to have the options, but I am trying to focus (1) drinking more water (2) tracking everything I'm eating, and (3) getting in some sort of movement. Maybe choose the 3 things you want to focus on for now...the rest will wait for us when we are ready. To a healthy happy 50+ to you & me!

You always have time for that which you place first.

Welcome MANANGK,

Please, just take your time. Just set a goal of accomplishing learning one new tool a week. You can choose to master the nutrition one first, or the fitness one first, or the message boards, or the sparkpoints. It doesn't matter. We're not having a race here - you need to go at your own pace. Just remember to push yourself a little harder than you think you can handle. You'll find that you're able to handle it just fine.

I just wanted to post a quick WELCOME to the 50+ Members with 100+ Pounds to Lose TEAM. We're so glad to have you join us. Please jump in and have a good time getting healthy. This is an excited group of folks and really active team so you should be able to find all sorts of inspiration and motivation. Just jump right in. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. There's always someone willing to help in any way possible. Don't forget to use the food/water tracker that spark people provides as well as the fitness tracker. I love the the amazing amount of information and help available in SparkPeople, but after a few days I am feeling overwhelmed by the sheer volume of it all. How to not burn out right away? Yet, I am willing to give this a try, and even more than a Try. I want to develop new habits and patterns for a better life. I'll be 58 this year and need to re adjust the sails of my life for a better, healthier and more fruitful future.
