Thanks for the welcome, everyone! I think that I'm going to have lots of fun meeting you all and staying inspired while I get where I need to be. One question...how can I fix my Ticker? It's showing my losses in kg's - but it should be pounds..when I go into my account page to fix it, it looks fine..any ideas?

Here's to the next weigh in! I hope you all have a great evening and day tomorrow!

Welcome to the team! This IS a great site and an excellant team. I think it is wonderful that you ride and raise horses. I have been on a horse one time when I was younger and I would love to do it again but do now want to hurt the horse either. I feel I will brave enough when I am thinner too. Anyway, the trackers for nutrition and fitness are great here. Congrats on the weight loss so far. Glad you are here, Annabelle

Welcome to Sparkpeople!

**LINDA**

Weight loss is accomplished with the mind.

A person who wants something WILL find a way....a person who doesn't will find an excuse.

Which do you prefer?
The pain of self discipline?....or...the pain of self regret?

Greetings All! I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone through this journey we're going through. This website was brought to my attention by a personal trainer that I'm working with and I have to say that its AMAZING! I never thought that this type of resource would be available online - its fabulous, and I'm finding the emails on exercise and nutrition really helpful!

I live in BC Canada, where I'm a teacher with a husband and 2 boys. We raise Morgan Horses and enjoy back country riding and endurance riding. I have always struggled with my weight...ALWAYS..sigh. But it seemed to completely get away from me after I started my career, got married and had the boys. My body really started to tell me that I HAD to do something to get fit, and over the last year, I worked towards changing my mindset and finding someone to help me.

Together we calculated that I had 103 pounds to lose...how did THAT happen? And actually, I can't imagine being 145lbs again...I can't really remember when I WAS 145lbs. Hmmm. Anyway, it's going to be a heck of a ride! I can't wait to see pictures of me riding where I don't have to feel sorry for my horse! It's going to make it so much easier for them to go the distance! And I keep in mind the endurance moto "To finish is to Win". My plan is to finish and reach my goals and to that end, I've already lost 26lbs!

My challenges are keeping motivated and going to the gym...Man its HARD! I try to get in a workout 5 days a week

My best to all of you in your journey!

Cheers!
