Would like 2 c this group thrive....

Did u note u HAD put out a newsletter or that u would like 2 put out a newsletter? What is ur cut-off date for the newsletter?

As to the "Fitness Minutes", I track these in "My Fitness" - does this automatically communicate 2 the goals 4 this group?

As a new Spark member located in the Gilbert area, I would like 2 c this group thrive.

As 2 new members not participating in the group goals, I found the goals 2 be the same as goals I committed 2 in other groups (50+, diabetes, etc.) so elected not 2 join - clutters my goals page when the same goal is listed multiple times.

Not sure how 2 handle this & may b a dilemna other members r dealing with.

Other than this issue, how may i support this group? emoticon

It has been much the same on my East Valley team. I walked away from it for awhile, even had 2 people at different times take it over ... and still not much. I am not sure what to say but I have found message boards like this great for accountability as well as accountability.

Sometimes, challenges seem to motivate people. Hopefully, more people will respond and I would certainly encourage them to do so.

If you look at the number of people who do the Fitness Minutes you will see that less than
25 % of our members participate and it is about the same for the SparkPoints.
We have 2,650 members listed but very few new members are active.

I am open to suggestions and if any one else has an idea, come forward.
We had a few new members who have posted and I sent Team Goodies for doing so.
Now those people seem to have faded away.

I'm not sure what the right mix is but I will continue to try. I look at other groups and see works for them and consider using it at our site. But some thing as simple as "What is your Emoticon" and there are really no responses.

Put out a Newsletter, looking for people that would like to contribute and it just doesn't have to be with weight control or exercising. If anyone would like to get an article together, send it to me and I'll get it in the next edition.

I hope I don't seem like I'm venting but when I took over we had 2,512 members and we have grown and only 2 new members has signed in, and I can say only 3 have been active.
Guess that must be the breaks. I've had tougher assignments and I will change this one around. Just don't ask me when.

I have to admit I am not here often. I am here today as I just read your lastest newsletter and wanted to say I enjoyed the article :The Nutrition Source How to Get to Your Healthy Weight.

How about a buddy post and a last minute come exercise with me thread, but people have to participate for this to work. So encouragement in the monthly newsletter to post to these might help.

The other two teams I post on have a "chat" topic. Perhaps that would inspire some participation. I check here, but there doesn't seem to be much talking going on so I usually don't stay long. It's unfortunate, though, because with us all being from gilbert we should have some stuff in common.

I have been adding new members on a weekly basis, yet I find few if any post or get involved.
It would be great if new members signed in so we can get to know them. Does anyone have a suggestion on how we can get more participation?
