Welcome aboard. You are correct in defining this weight loss journey as a bumpy one. I have traveled this dastardly road all of my adult life. One new diet after the other. Some had good short term success but not offered the incredible ongoing support that is SP. I am now at my goal weight and I am confident that I will be able to maintain it. My peak weight in the early 80's was 335+ and today it was 162.9. I now have lost more weight than I currently weigh.

I am very glad to have another Gilberite among us. We live at Higley and Riggs.

Hi there Everyone! My husband and I are on a weight loss journey together! A complete life change for both of us because he recently underwent the lap band. Now, it's time for me to push his journey towards success and in the process lose ALL the excess weight I have gained from children & surgeries. I personally need motivation! Last year I lost 35 lbs. and was looking and feeling great and well on my way towards my goal. Then I had to have surgery, was down for 12 weeks and put ALL my weight lost back on and then some :(. In that process I lost all of my motivation. But since hubby's lap band it's time to get started AGAIN!!!!
