I've had them a long time, so I'm not at all sure what company they are from. I've always been told that green is a beginner color and red is intermediate, and the red is much stronger than the green, so I guess I'll just use them that way.

I am not apprised as to the strength of the bands you mentioned, I have some from Lifeline USA which are color coded as to the resistance for each one measured in pounds. The ones in the Walmart set are simply rated low, medium and high resistance. Use what you have and try the bodyweight workout also.

It is called WORK-ing out for a reason.

I said getting fit was simple, I did not say it was easy.

Cardio burns calories, strength work burns fat.

Eat well to lose weight, exercise to get fit

You can not build a six pack using twelve packs

Often when we seek a magic bullet for fitness we end up shooting ourselves in the foot.

Thanks! I have red and green bands with handles, so that's a good start, right? I can do some things with the red -- mostly leg stuff, of course -- but I use the green a lot.

I'll check out your routines.

Welcome to the team. I recently posted an indoor no equipment workout here which you can adjust to your abilities. In addition there are a variety of hyperlinks to various resistance band programs. I also suggest you check out the three band with handles and dvd set offered by Walmart, it only costs $15.00 and gives you a lot of flexibility.

Hello all. I'm Holli. I'm 64 and my doctor just told me that my belly fat is causing my GERD, so he told me to lose 30 lbs. Before I gained this weight, I used to use bands on a regular basis. I have reds and greens.

I want to increase the strength in my legs and arms. I have arthritis in my shoulders and knees. I also need core strength exercises while I'm losing my belly fat, and to help with my back problems.

I also have a step aerobics platform and have used body weight in the past. As fat as I am (5'4", 160), I have plenty of body weight to work with.

If you know of any good SP videos I can use, please let me know. Even chair exercises would probably help right now, as weak as my arms and legs are.

TIA
