Finding a running group really helped me keep on track and focused. There are all sorts out there, and they could be what you need to get your motivation back. Not to mention, they're a great way to find new running friends. Good luck with your half-my first race was a half, and I loved it!

Welcome to the team. I am looking to get back into running soon, as well. Good luck in your training for a 1/2. I'm sure that once you get back into it, you will be fine.

Winter running in Manitoba might not be easy. I hope you have access to a treadmill. :-)

Find a local running store to help with a program. Or there are also lots of running programs online and in books too. Pick one that suits you. A half marathon isn't something you can run without some training. Good luck and welcome back to running!

Take a walk and mix in some running. It doesn't have to be all or nothing. I hope you find your way back very soon! It's the greatest sport!

Pick a training program and stick with it. You should be able to do it with a goal in mind.

I need the motivation to get out there again! I was training for a half marathon in 08 when I found out we were pregnant and I haven't got back into the running groove again! I am running the Manitoba Half next year..first half ever and I need to get a move on! emoticon emoticon
