NANALULU2 how is your practice? did you find a session that appealed to you in youtube? Also check in our forum the recommendations our fellow yogis and yoginis have advised us

NANALULU2 if you are going to go through youtube, look for Adriene, Erin Motz, Jessica Rose, they have good beginners sessions different lengths. Breath through your nose, in when you do the pose and out when you move to the next pose, first watch the whole video and have fun, let us know how you are doing, join the monthly challenge. emoticon NANALULU2 there are Yoga poses for people sitting for long time, some called office yoga, Check out the Team Forum, also youtube.
-If you have the chance, join or attend classes in a Yoga studio with a certified instructor, who can help you to design a program for your specific needs, so you can learn the right position in the poses and the breathing techniques.
-Many studios are open during the weekends and offer introductory free sessions or by $10.00 donations. It seems impossible to attend a class with a live instructor, but if you think like it is an investment of one hour to learn something that will benefit your body and your mind in the short, middle and long term. Don't you think that you deserve it?
-Also, join us in the monthly team, our motto; Inspire and Be inspired.KAYOTIC, one of our team members practices office yoga, so she can give you some tips.

Welcome to a team with people who have great resources to share with you. There are apps, videos and subscription services that could help you do yoga at home. There a good spark article about yoga poses for tight hips thatís good.

Lost 65 lbs and maintained since 2006.

Hello everyone! I'm a newbie to the team and wanted to introduce myself.

I'm very new to yoga. My occupation is sitting for most of the day and finding the by neck and back are tightening do to the stress at work. I was told that Yoga is in only good for the muscles but the mind and soul. I found this team when looking for some online resources in the sparkspeople page. Getting to the gym or even joining a class is out of the question for now due to my work schedule. I am looking to gaining muscle strength, balance and flexibility. I hope this works for me.
