No, but I'm going to be looking for that. Do you just paint over the leads to draw the power off? Is it pliable enough that I could paint it onto a jacket? Brain wheels turning....

No, but that sounds awesome! How do you collect the energy? There must a way to move that energy to a battery.

I have seen some information on roads that are solar cells. Thought that was a neat use of open place that is everywhere.

Have you guys heard about liquid ink photovoltaics? You can literally paint solar cells on to clear surfaces!

Welcome welcome!

You have wondered into a rather geeky group. We have some great personalities and a lot of random interests. Please feel free to post what ever interests you.

If you would like to post your goals for the month, we have a thread for that under challenges. This totally includes geeky goals :).

Great to have another person join the team. Solar energy is pretty cool! I'm not too familiar with MEG. Mind giving a description and your take on it?

Welcome! I'll be eager to hear more about your solar energy work (what do you think about the current net metering controversy?) and your healthy living quest. Greg's right about my NASA leanings - I was listening to a repeat story about astronaut Dr. Leland Melvin (I have a crush) last night on NPR and looking forward to next year's Mercury transit.

Hope to see you on the boards.

WELCOME Lauren!!!!

So you are a double major! Impressive. You will fit in with this group of nerds and ... uhmm ... I mean uber cool people. :-)

(Yeah, nerd, geek, etc are badges of honor here!)

We can be quiet at times ... and at times full of geekiness. But also, we do some pretty darn good exercising and goal settings too.

I myself am a transportation engineer. Team Leader supreme is a marathoning-triathlete-scientist. Grebjack teaches ... but has knowledge of things NASA. And you'll find others sneaking about as well at times.

Please join in - we'd love to get to know you!

You may say I'm a dreamer...but I'm not the only one...

hello, i have a BS in electrical engineering and a BS in physics. My goal in life is to develop new kinds of solar energy, like MEG. i am so excited to be part of the team!
