Hi Ami,
A big congratulations on losing 20lbs, emoticon that is fantastic, and I am so happy for you, keep up the good work, reading your story is just what I needed today, and I will start back on induction tomorrow,as I have been right off the wagon, and feeling very depressed after losing both my best friend, and my Dad to cancer earlier this year.
I know if I focus, and prepare my food in advance I can do this.
I also want to say hello to Nu and Sherry.and I will try to post every week.

I will decide how much lower I can be without looking haggard in the face,I have happy memories of being able to dance and walk and feel good at this weight.

Hi Annie,

The salads are important too. Drink lots of water. In one of Atkins books, he said dont mistake hunger for thirst. Your body needs lots of water to flush out toxins we have been getting for yrs in processed foods! Best of luck and CONHRATS!!! emoticon

Hi and Thank you for the advice. Yes it does feel good. I almost couldn't believe it when I stepped on the scale I had to ask the lady if it was correct. Yes I am going to stay on induction for a while longer. I was thinking maybe as long as I stayed under 20 gr. of carbs I could eat that way and skip the salads and just keep a tally of the carbs as long as it was under 20 gr. Is that what you did? I don't want to mess anything up thats why I was trying to get some opinions . I appreciate your help Nu Thank you. Hugs, Amie

First of all congrats, doesnt it feel good? Being honest it really and truly depends on you and how you feel in the induction stage. I stayed in induction for about 2 months. Never feel like you could eat what you want and only stay under 20 carbs. that comes back to bite you; I promise. Been there, done that, cried after. If you are comfortable with the food choices induction allows you, stay a little while longer, but if you are looking for an expansion of options start adding your 5 carbs, but do it every other week. I hope this helps friend.

Hi Everyone, I am going into my third week of Atkins and weighed in today and have lost 20 lbs. I am so happy but I am wondering since I have so much to lose should I stay on induction or can I eat what I want and just stay under 20 carbs? I have found some recipes that I would like to try but in order to have them I would have to not have the salads and just have mainly protein. I don't want to screw up after doing so good the first two weeks but I also don't want to slow down on the weight loss either. I would be grateful for any advice. Thanks, Amie
