Adzy - emoticon on your success with carb cycling.

Most of the people I know who are experimenting with carb cyling, go a little higher on their carb intake one day a week. But most of the people I know are doing low carb for life - so they don't up it too much.

I also know some who are eating higher calories once a week to get things going, but then again just about 200 calories higher for that day.

Hope this helps.

I think what Joy said is correct. However I'm currently experimenting with doing one night (6-8 hours only) a week of higher carbs just to shake things up. Something about resetting your hormones. I'm still trying to learn more about it, but definitely DEFINITELY seems to be working for me so far, 4 weeks in and i'm shedding body fat like there's no tomorrow! I'm not saying it would work for everyone, just an experiment i'm doing at the moment.

Then again, I'm just doing general low carbing and not specifically Atkins. But I do know that in the Atkins book he does talk about increasing your carbs by 5g each week to find your personal tolerance level.

I believe you are supposed to up your carbs by 5 grams for one week to see if you will keep losing weight. If your weight goes up, then you have to go back to 30 carbs.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone here will correct me eventually.

You can go to the Atkins Website to get more information.

are you supposed to do one day of higher carbs per week or month to shake things up to keep the weight loss going? Thanks to anyone that can help....
